Try the World: Italy

Our latest box from Try the World arrived the other day.  This time, it's Italian.  We haven't even eaten our Brazilian box yet.

I love the savory flavor of truffles.   I look forward to trying this with soups and breads.
I like pesto sauce much more than red sauce.   I was really surprised there wasn't a tomato sauce in the box.
This is a balsamic vinegar.  I'm not sure what I can do with it.  Maybe a salad dressing?
You can't go wrong with hazelnut paste.
 Risotto with mushrooms!  Yay!
The obligatory beverage.  This time it's coffee.
 Some kind of amaretto pastry.
And of course pasta!

M Italian

After our dessert, we decided to get lunch.  (This makes sense.  Go to the cupcake shop when they open to get maximum cupcake selection)  M Italian is only a two minute drive from Main Street Cupcakes.

Pictured above is my mushroom pizza.   Truffle oil, Parmesan  cheese, Alfredo sauce and arugula.  I was able to take home half for later.   Nicely crispy from the wood fire oven.

M Italian shares the building space with a glass blowing place.   I'm guessing that this chandelier was probably made next door.

This is the bread that they served.   Cheesy with a nicely crispy crust.  If you come early in the day, please note that pizzas can take longer because they need to start the ovens.  It wasn't more than 20 minutes additional wait time.   Really worth the time.
