Burgers 2 Beer

 We went back to Burgers 2 Beer yesterday.  We could keep going and still not try everything on the menu.  They are quite creative.  Pictured above is the Luther Burger.  Yes, that is a donut being used as a bun.   It had honey pepper bacon and American cheese.

I had the Breakfast Burger.  That's an egg, honey pepper bacon, hash browns, and hollandaise sauce.   It was a bit too much for me to finish, but only slightly.   I have to really compliment the chef on the macaroni and cheese.   It wasn't too salty and had the right amount of creaminess.  Until next time!

Burgers 2 Beer

Yesterday we had lunch/dinner at Burgers 2 Beer.  The restuarant occupies the corner where Eddie & Eddies was, and then later Cerinos.   I really like this place.  They have a vast menu and a friendly, casual atmosphere.   Pictured above is my Like Butta Baby burger.   Truffle oil infused with bacon, brie, and fried onions.  Yummy!

Steve had the Vampire Hunter burger.   It's very garlic filled with pepperoni.   Also tasty!

Here is a picture of the burger selection on their most recent menu.   We are definitely coming back.

A Taste of Cleveland, the B Spot Again

We were at the B Spot again yesterday before the movies, and we tried a couple of different things I hadn't written about before.   Pictured above is the Chocolate Banana Marshmallow shake.  It was tasty!   The Vanilla Bean Apple Pie Bacon shake is still our favorite though.

Pictured here is the Porky, a burger with pulled pork, bacon slaw, and Cleveland barbeque sauce.   Steve really enjoyed it.  Also we split an order of Lola fries, which have the rosemary and sea salt.  Extremely crispy.

I had the French Onion Burger, that comes with bacon, gruyere, griddled onions, shasha sauce and crispy onions.   I really liked it.  Just the right amount of food and extremely delicious. 

Streat Burger and Bistro

We had dinner this past Sunday at Streat Burger and Bistro.  It is the permanent restaurant location by the guys who run the Streat Mobile Bistro food truck.  Cafe 56 closed a while back, and Streat Burger is now there instead.

Streat Burger has a nifty concept.  You pick 3 things for their burgers.  You pick a protein (six choices including one vegetarian option), pick a bun (4 choices including a gluten free one), and a way it's served (toppings).  Pictured above is my herbed turkey burger on a plain bun, served as "the Cheesehead."   It has beer battered cheddar curds, bacon gravy, dijon lardons, and garlic aoli.

Steve wanted the BBB (burger bacon blend), but they were out.  He got to have the regular burger with bacon on top as no extra charge.  His burger was on a whole wheat bun, served "Twisted St. Patty" style.  It has corned beef has brown, drunken onions, spicy kim chi, Greyere, and Streat Sauce.  

Our friend Tom got a regular Streat Burger, white bun, and served "Spanish Fly" style.  It had sweet corn & black bean salsa, gouda, Serrano-tomatilla adobo, tortilla strips, arugula,  and candied jalapeno.

We also split an order of duck fat fries.  They also have rosemary.  I asked if they served duck, but I guess it's only for the fries.

It was a good meal.   Steve and I both got two meals out of our burgers, so four meals total.  The menu has lots of choices, and I didn't get to try dessert because I got full.  I'm looking forward to going again.

Eddie 'n Eddie for the last time

I just heard that Eddie 'n Eddie is going to close and come back as an Italian restaurant.   I suppose today was my last change to try things on their original menu.  I had the half portion Caesar Salad with grilled chicken, Steve had the lobster macaroni and cheese, and we split the pretzel and cheese appetizer.   Pictured above is the rice pudding we had tonight.   We'll have leftovoers of the salad and pasta for tomorrow's lunch.  I wonder what the new menu will be like.

Eddie 'N Eddie

Today we went out to Eddie 'N Eddie.  They advertise Burgers, Bourbon, and Apple Pie.

I had the E'nE Burger.  It has portabello mushrooms, carmelized onions, and Gruyere cheese.  The side dish I picked is the wild rice with pecans.   I wasn't able to finish it all, so I'll have it again for lunch tomorrow.  Very tasty.

Steve had the lamb burger, with tzatziki sauce and red onion.   He got the sweet potato fries.

Tom had the spiced buffalo burger, with house buffalo sauce, smoked provolone cheese, bacon, sweet pickle chips, and bleu cheese dressing.

I also had a slice of bourbon pecan pie to go.   It was really good.  We'll probably visit again sometime.

The B Spot

The B Spot is one of my husband and I's favorite restaurants.  It is owned by Cleveland's very own Iron Chef, Michael Simon.  Chef Simon believes that bacon makes anything better.  I'd have to agree!

We ordered the vanilla bean apple pie bacon milk shake.   It's probably the fifth time we've ordered it.  Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo of it.   It may sound weird, but it's wonderfully delicious!   The flavors blend perfectly, and the bacon topping adds a fun crunchy element.  One shake can easily be split by two people.  For a few dollars extra, you can have alcohol added to your shake.

These are the Lola fries.  They are seasoned with rosemary and sea salt.  The B Spot has 6 different sauces available on the table, but these are positively delicious plain.  Thin and crispy, one order can be shared by two or three people.

My husband ordered Mr. Porky, a brat with pulled pork, jalapenos and shredded cheddar cheese.

I had the Lola burger.   It has a sunny-side up egg with bacon, pickled red onions, cheddar cheese and mayo.

The B Spot has perfect portion sizes!  The prices match too.  The menu features lots of interesting choices as well as more traditional selections for the less adventurous.  Additionally, the restaurant has an extensive beer collection.
